My Favourite Kohl Eyeliner

I'm not really a fan of hard pencil eyeliners. I've tried them, given them a chance but they never did succeed in getting me into them. They are always difficult to be applied on and drag my lids like no tomorrow since I have to apply force to have the colours to appear.
Basically a kohl eyeliner pencil has similar texture to a cream eyeliner that comes in a jar, the only difference would be that it is in a pencil form which makes it easier for beginners to have control over it.

If you're looking at precision, a kohl pencil eyeliner with a creamy consistency would not be the best choice. I would either use a gel liner or liquid liner. It gives more definition as compared to hard pencil liners too.

I usually use a kohl pencil eyeliner to line my upper and lower water line. Or I would use it to line my upper lash line and smudge it for a smoky effect. Because of its creamy consistency, i will be able to smudge it quite easily whereas with a hard pencil liner you can't.

So far after trying loads of pencil liners, L'Oreal's HiP Color Chrome Eyeliner in 910 Black Shock is still my favourite pencil liner.

Tip: For smudging, line your eyes and smudge quickly. After it dries, it stays on like an angel and doesn't smudge.

910 Black Shock Swatch

Other brands of kohl pencil eyeliner I would recommend would be:

Dollywink Pencil Eyeliner
Pros: Glides on easily like any other kohl eyeliners.
Cons: Not really water proof. *Do not wear this if you're going for a tear wrecking movie*, very few places carry Dolly Wink so you've got to either get this online or if you're lucky like me your drugstore might carry it. If you're in Singapore, you can get it at all Watsons store now!

Dolly Wink Pencil Eyeliner, comes in 2 shades

Revlon® Colorstay™ Eyeliner
Pros: Glides on easily like any other kohl eyeliners, smudge free and water proof
Cons: Smudges if you do not let it dry long enough

Revlon® Colorstay™ Eyeliner

Tip for Kohl Liners: For smudging, line your eyes and smudge quickly. Always remember to let it sit and dry for a while before doing anything else.

That's all for this entry! If you guys have anything you want to know, please leave a comment!
Next tentative blog entry would be my favourite gel/ liquid eyeliner!

Yunker Q10 Supplement
Also, recently, I've been drinking supplements like Yunker's Q10 Supplement.
I was actually into this cos it has royal jelly and amino acids in it which is great for the skin!
I remember my grandfather who has great great skin even at the age of 75, and what's his secret? It's Royal Jelly!

Anyway you can purchase Yunker's Q10 supplement at cold storage (Singapore) at about S$3.45.
Can't remember the exact price but i swept all of their stocks at the cold storage near my office.. HAHAH!

I'm gonna post up a video soon using my company's DSLR over the weekends.

Samantha Thavasa in Singapore!

Hey all!
One of the many cute bags they carry!

Are you as excited as I am?!

Yes! Samantha Thavasa is here in Singapore!
With its outlet in town at ION, I believe it's gonna be a real hit.

I've loved Samantha Thavasa's bags ever since I saw them in japanese magazines and during a trip to Japan last year.
I did not get to buy any of them then cos I was kinda umm broke at that time *shrugs*

But now that it is in Singapore, I can get them when I have the kacheengs!! *squeals*

Below is a summary of the brand: (Information were taken from Wiki and the website itself)

Samantha Thavasa is a Japanese fashion company, known primarily for their popular handbags. It was founded in 1994 by Kazumasa Terada, the current CEO and president.

The company's marketing strategy is typified by its extensive utilization of Western celebrities and socialites in its advertising, although Lee Byung-hun was used to promote its jewelry brand, Samantha Tiara. BeyoncĂ©Solange Knowles and the Hilton sisters have been in advertising campaigns for them.

Nicky Hilton, Victoria Beckham, and Tinsley Mortimer have handbag lines with the company. Jennifer Lopez along with her sister is the latest celebrity to endorse the brand as of 2009.

The company's target customer base are college and working women in their twenties. Their prices are designed to appeal to this age group.

In Japan, the company has over 130 retail stores. In late 2006, Samantha Thavasa opened its first U.S. store in New York City.

And different brandings of Samantha Thavasa:

They even have mobile phones!!

And another photo of DVB by Samantha Thavasa, *ahh~ Victoria B. as sexy as ever*

So girls and guys out there go check it out!  No harm just taking a look right~~

Lasting Lipsticks to avoid embarrassment

Hi people!

Today, I'm gonna show you a recent favourite lipstick I got!

I've been into red hot lipsticks recently and I used to use my NYX's one but after a few times of my teeth getting stained by it, I got really embarrassed and never touched red lipsticks again.

Until I found L'Oréal's Infallible Longwear Lip Duo Compact Lipstick!

I got mine in Shade 503, Golden Berry.

Here's a photo of me wearing it:

Now to the pros and cons of it (remember this is not an advertorial or anything so all I have said here is based on what i experienced from using it.)

  • Doesn't stain your teeth at all
  • Doesn't smudge (If you just wear it without kissing, rubbing or doing anything with your lips)
  • Very pigmented colour
  • Doesn't go on smoothly
  • Clots up if not applied properly
  • Flakes off in pieces if you start rubbing it (Really messy)
  • Not very comfortable to wear, you can feel the layer of lipstick you put on as it hardens up.

I would definitely recommend this product if you girls out there are just gonna go for a dinner or out to just look good.
If you're gonna go on a date and there's gonna be hot kissing, I would suggest to just apply lip tint. Best choice!
