Popteen July 2011 Summer Sandals Trends + D.U.P Eyelashes Brown Mix

 Hey Ya'll!

So summer is here and sandals are in the trend yo! With the crazy hot weather wearing covered shoes makes any feet sweat like no tomorrow. I once saw a Youtube video, of a TV station or something, using a machine thingy to test every girl's moisture level in their shoes and the results were shocking! Kinda gross but just to be pretty I guess most girls couldn't care less.

But when it comes to summer, it's really uncomfortable to wear covered shoes with wet feet. Ewww~ So SANDALS are a must! They can look pretty cute too~ <3
There are soooo many kinds of sandals you can wear! Sandals with wedges (which I love), Sandals with heels, Flat Sandals with soooo many patterns.

I personally prefer wedged sandals with a ethnic touch to it; things like precious stones on it~
Click for bigger pictures~

Look at all the choices!! So stop torturing your feet this summer by covering them up~

~ ~~~~~~~~♥

And next up~ Eyelashes!

【D.U.P EYELASHES brown mix】

Eyelashes that quickly highlights and gives great impression. The forth Model's Selections! Collaboration with "Aiku Maikawa" who is a popular model of CanCam magazine. This new line is mixture of brown and black hair that delivers a natural and elegant look to your eyes, offering a range of styles for every mood.

I'm a falsies fan~ I have tons of falsies maybe not as much as many others but quite a lot i guess~ Teehee~
I went through Popteen July 2011 and there was an advert for D.U.P lashes. I have been wanting to get their lashes after hearing so much raves about them. But didn't buy it cos I had endless falsies at home yet to be used.

This time, D.U.P decided to come up with a not so common gyaru type lash I would say. Most of the gyaru branded lashes all come in only one colour and that's black. This series of D.U.P Lashes, Brown mix, has a mixture of 80% brown lashes + 20% black lashes. Which is perfect for girls who wants a more natural look.

I personally probably wouldn't buy it since I'm not really a brown eyelash or eyeliner fan. :P
They have 5 different designs for this series. So have your pick~

I'll probably show you guys my whole collection of falsies soon if you're interested~ 8D

So stay tuned to my next post because I'll be continuing the next post with the trends for summer shown in popteen!

TheBlogShop's The Clothes Buffet

I know I'm a little laggy about this post since it happened 3 days back. But oh well~

So I went for The Blogshop's clothes buffet *anyway it was free* and this would probably be the first and last time I would even go for such a thing. Unless I have a preview of what I was gonna get.

The event supposedly starts only at 1pm, so me being me, I thought MAYBE if I reached 15 minutes beforehand I'll still be early. BUT NOO!~ Singaporeans being singaporeans they had to be that "kiasu". I reached there 15 minutes earlier with a friend and look at the queue!

See those umbrellas at the back? That was about where the queue ended.

Yeah and this was only about 20 minutes after I arrived. =_= I totally forgot my umbrella and so did my friend plus the weather was horrendous! We had to stand under the sun for 1 1/2 hours cos the shop owners didn't allow us to stand along the corridor. I swear I almost melted. >.<

Probably about another 3-4 shops's distance to wait

I was on the verge of cursing and swearing until we got to a part the weather turned cool and there wasn't any sun. And when we were about to reach, the person in front of us whose friend has went in and came out told her that there was nothing much to see. I was in total despair~ After all these waiting?!

Bag that was given to stuff our loot

We finally managed to get in and all the girls were going crazy snatching clothes, pushing~~ I couldn't really be bothered and ended up taking the first 2 pieces of clothing I managed to get hold of after the girls changed their attention to other stuff.

So while the most of them were busy snatching the clothes I slowly swayed my way to the belt section and accessories section *most of them were out of stock already* I slowly chose my belts and stuffed them in my bag. I wasn't that angry about how The Blogshop handled things, I know when it comes to special sales like these, things will run out real fast but if I were to pay I would at least expect them to have ample supply of stocks to satisfy their customers who has booked for the "LIMITED SLOTS". There wasn't even LIMITED SLOTS cos when I reached there they were selling $35 bags to those who didn't book beforehand. Oh well, but I didn't pay for it so it's still a gain for me~ Teehee~

My stuffed to the brim bag

It was kinda funny seeing people stuff tons of stuff in till they couldn't even close the bag properly that's why the owner had to tell them they can only stuff it to the brim whereby it won't be overflowing. Some still tried their luck but failed in the end cos there was someone outside checking.

And so~ On the the stuff I got~ I don't think it's worth $45 at all *the $30 bag ran out and so i ended up with the $45 one yayy!!! more stuffs!!*

Checker Long Sleeved Top
Grey One-Piece with Dangling Chains
Fake Chanel Bangles which I find look totally cute! *I'm a Chanel fan 8D*
Long Necklace with Rectangular Metal Thingum
And little things I got to prepare my giveaway~ Teehee
And to end this post off~ My camwhore photos! ♥  HAHA! Just 2 I don't wanna blind you guys with all my camwhore photos.

Tried out the new Diamond Lash Vy gave to me~

[Sponsored Review] Hada Labo's Lifting & Firming Range

~ ~~~~~~~~♥
Hada Labo skincare philosophy:

For ultimate perfection and ultimate simplicity

Inspired by traditional Japanese beauty wisdom, Hado Labo adopts a "no more no less" philosophy in creating its products. Unnecessary additive, colorant, fragrance and mineral oil that will burden the skin are ommited. Only essential ingredients that are beneficial to the skin are retained to ensure maximum effectiveness. - Only the best for your skin and nothing else

~ ~~~~~~~~♥

I received an email from The Sample Store that they wanted to sponsor me a bottle of Hada Labo's Retinol Lifting + Firming Lotion for a review.  I was super excited and couldn't wait for it arrive. I've been religiously using their Hydrating Lotion and it's a must have in my facial routine. I have combination skin and sometimes my cheeks can be so dry it tends to flake. However after using Hada Labo's hydrating lotion, it improved by leaps and bounds! I even brought it along with me during my Taiwan trip cos the weather would be cold and dry.

And so, just 2 days back, the postman rang my doorbell and there came my package!

I'm 22 years old this year and my mom has always told me that starting at the age of 21, we got to start preparing against collagen breakdown. HAHA! Yea, and I take that very seriously. I don't want to look like I'm 30 when I'm only in my 20s. So, don't wait till you have wrinkles and all before you get scared and try to do anything to help. Once the wrinkles start appearing, nothing's going to help except for botox maybe. I'm not saying if you do any prevention now, you won't be getting ANY wrinkles, we all will get old someday and get wrinkly faces. Just slow down the process!

Hada Labo's Lifting and Firming Lotion has 3  main anti-aging ingredients: Collagen, Retinol Vitamin A, Super Hyaluronic Acid.

Collagen: to improve skin's elasticity for a firmer and more lifted skin
Retinol Vitamin A: helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles
Super Hyaluronic Acid: instantly lock in moisture to hydrate intensely keeping skin soft and significantly smooth

So as compared with the previous Hydrating lotion, this bottle has 2 more ingredients in helping your skin!

One thing I really like about Hado Labo's products is that it is free of any additives, colourant, alcohol, fragrance and mineral oils which is great for sensitive skin! Though it's free of fragrance, it's not smelly; in fact it smells rather soothing.

I've tried on the lotion for about 2 days now and I got to say I really love it! Just like the hydrating lotion, 1 drop is more then enough~ I apply it mainly on my cheek area and start patting it to allow my dear skin to absorb them. It is a little more sticky, but after a while when everything has been absorbed, my skin, feels soooo smooth~ I don't really want to risk my skin and apply it on my T-zone since it's having an angry period right now.

I would definitely recommend this product for people above the age of 21~ To prevent!

I am so gonna let my mom try this and hear what she has to say about this product!

If you girls or guys are interested in this product but do not want to get the retail size yet till you're sure if it would work for you, Like Hada Labo's Facebook page and redeem your sample now!

Other products in the Lifting and Firming Range:

  • Gets absorbed into skin very quickly

Tsubasa Masuwaka CMs & Coords by TsubaColleTv

If you gals are into Tsubasa Masuwaka, then you would have definitely seen her new Candydoll CM. I'm not really into her makeup stuff though I do own the the Dolly wink eyeliner and eyelash glue *not my favourites* but I got to admit she's so darn cute in her CM and... SHE'S JUST SO DARN CUTE.

And then, I saw ANOTHER commercial on Youtube for Tsubasa's line of Palty hair dye. Watsons has her line of Palty hair dye but not like the one in the video which is the foam one. I read somewhere about this hair dye and the reviews was hmm... not bad. Plus it looks cute with the cup and all, reminds me of smoothies~~
I don't really have a thing for bubbly hair dyes now since the one I used by Liese didn't have ANY effect on me at all. Pfft.

But, I'll be willing to try this one if it's not too pricey and if I can even get my hands on it first. >.<
*I don't really understand why they had to ask KARA for this CM though cos I think Tsubasa could have just easily own this CM by herself. Just not very into Kpop stars that's all :P*

And also, you gals should check out TsubaColleTV on YouTube! It has videos on Tsubasa talking about her coords and important points in coordinating!

Just some of the coords I find really cute~ And some points for the coords~

Hair Tutorials by

Hey Ya'll!

I found this site through their YouTube channel I found while browsing through. Their site has all the step by step pictures of how they do a certain hairstyle and for certain hairstyles only they would have a video.

Most of the hairstyles there are more sweet looking but they have really cute & cool hairstyles for short haired girls as well!

One of the many styles I like was this Pretty Braid Arrange Updo:

Really simple and straightforward instructions so definitely great for gals out there who needs a simple and quick hairdo!

Just visit their site for more hairstyles!!

I'm so motivated to do a hair tutorial now! Stay tuned!

[Cosme Review] NYX Glitter Cream Pallets

NYX Full Glitter Cream Pallet

So the long awaited post is finally here. It was requested by a YouTuber to do this NYX Glitter Cream Pallet swatch. So I did after being able to sneak attack my brother's DSLR but the photos didn't come out so well *still a noob at these photography stuff so please don't mind~ I tried my best* >.<

I didn't get all the colours cos I bought these pallets during my Taiwan trip and they only had these 3 colours available.

I actually set my eyes on these pallets the moment I walked into the Watsons that was located just downstairs of my hotel at Ximending. I was so eager to get them but the boyfriend said just wait till the last day since it was only downstairs.

Here are the swatches:

One Night In Luxy

One Night In Luxy Swatch

Royal Violets
Royal Violets Swatch

Surreal Swatch

  • Difficult to apply
  • Only the top most layer has the most glitter, after using the top layer, the bottom glitter is too creamy to be applied nicely
  • Just too creamy =_=

Visit NYX Website for other products.

I'll probably do a tutorial soon on how to use these pallets as soon as I finish my other video. >.<

P.S. I'll be adding the Surreal Pallet into my giveaway since I have an extra one after I reach 50 followers on my blog. teehee~

Gyaru Outing in the planning & Random update on life

So as the above title says, yes I'm gonna plan a gyaru outing soon! The previous one I organized went down the drain cos I had the urge to have the outing TOO last min. Like a day before I wanted to hang out. >.< And plus I was down with a sore eye.

So this time I'm gonna be more organized and plan it way earlier. Probably gonna do an events page for it and you gals who are interested in it can give some suggestions on the activities and all. Taking puris is definitely in the agenda! I've been craving for puris for a long time already! Anyway the outing will most probably take place on a weekday  after the 22nd since it's the only days I'll be free and akanbou will be starting work soon.

On too my own life, it has been boring as usual. Pfft.. But I better pull my socks up and be serious about finding a job soon. Not that I'm not serious but the agencies really suck. I worked in one myself and I totally don't understand why I can cater to almost everyone of my candidate unless he/she has a very bad history of working experience if not I can easily find them something to do.

Anyway, I know I've promised a NYX glitter cream palette review and swatches and yet all these posts keeps coming up. But I really wanna just get a better capture of the colors and stuff rather then doing a shady post of it.

Arty farty shot of mine ;P

Also, my followers are increasing! It makes me really happy that there ARE actually people reading my blog. All these just motivates me into blogging and doing videos more! ; D

I will be doing a giveaway once my followers hit 50! I might be doing a separate one for my Youtube channel. But that is only MOST PROBABLY. haha! I'll see how things goes. But thanks alot for following!!

Sleeveless One-piece: Random store in JB
Necklace: Peninsula Plaza
Bangle: *Can't remember >.<*
Bag: Juicy Couture
Wedges(not seen in picture): Aldo

Yes I have fat face :(
I did a simple video tutorial on the eyes above, am still in the process of editing because I still haven't got the hand of the new program I'm using yet. So please wait for it!!

T-shirts for Summer 2011!!

Different Coords with one simple grey T-shirt
Hey Ya'll!

Summer is here all year round in Singapore. Which can be quite a bummer since lots of the winter wear I see are all so lovely. >.< But it's ok~ summer wear can be all fun too!

A section in June 2011's Jelly caught my eye cos it was all about T-SHIRTS! I love dolling myself up really pretty and stuff but I simply can't live without T-shirts!! Be it graphic tees, cute, fancy ones I love them all! They are just too comfortable to resist~

So in this summer, you gals out there can strut beautifully in your tees! Just remember to coord them up properly and TADA! You'll feel beautiful and comfortable!

Fringe T-shirts, Lace cut/cropped T-shirts

First on the list which is REALLY popular now is definitely the Fringe T-shirt~ If you gals are into ethnic style or a bohemian style, the FRINGE will definitely work for you! Pair it off with ethnic looking accessories~ (e.g. coloured wooden bangles, gold thin bangles, hair braids etc).

Laced cropped T-shirts are also almost everywhere now. Every japanese magazine, there is bound to have a model wearing laced cropped/cut tees or matching them off as an accessory. I personally prefer the laced cropped tops and matching an inside with a simple maxi dress, floppy hats etc. Instead of just wearing the laced tee by itself. I just find laced cropped tops which are hmm I would say translucent(?) gives everything a very layered look which I really like. Whereas if it was only a laced tee, it wouldn't stand out that much. But it's up to individuals really.

Loose Tees, Asymmetrical Tees
Next up would be Loose T-shirts! I'm a fan of loose tees mainly because it's comfortable~ HAHA! But they can be pretty too! I like wearing loose t-shirts with a pair of straight cut jeans & heels just to elevate the level of classiness~ I don't want myself to look like an obasan going to the market or something. : P To be on a safer side if you don't know what to pair your loose top with, always remember that with a loose top/ bottom,  you can be assured that a tight bottom/ top will make you look all so classy. Unless you're going for a mori (forest girl) look *like the one below* if not I'll just recommend just sticking to a tighter opposite.

Mori Girl Look *Forest Girl*
Last but not least, Asymmetrical T-shirts~ They can be paired off to look really edgy or really cute! I personally prefer an asymmetrical one-piece to a tee really. I can't really carry off that kind of look *the one in purple asymmetrical top and an ethnic looking skirt at the top right hand* So a one-piece will look more edgy. But I'm loving the other two coords *the B&W striped  and the one paired off with jeans* I'm just a sucker for jeans really. XD

So get your T-shirts outta your closet now and don't be afraid to try pairing them with ANYTHING! Do a trial at home first to see if you like how it looks first before showing your amazing coords to the world! ;p

That's all for this post!
