[Skincare Review] Acne Problems? Nu-Reflections ACT Gel to the rescue!

Nu-reflections ACT Gel review
Hi there human!

I'm back in a blogging mood on a lazy Sunday scheduling this short little post for all of you!

I'm dedicating one post for this skin product cos it has worked pretty well on my skin and I thought you might be interested!

It is the Acne Control Treatment Gel aka ACT Gel from Nu-Reflections Medical Aesthetics Clinic!

Ever since about 5 weeks ago, I've been having major crazy breakouts all around my T-Zone. Humongous blind pimples, a couple of red and sore cystic pimples, tons of tiny white heads and the list goes on..

I was so depressed about it as I've not changed a single step or product in my skin care routine and I just got so frustrated not being able to find out the cause of it.

I was desperately looking for a solution and a dermatologist I can really trust to solve my problems and find out what was happening. Luckily for me, I was introduced to Nu-Reflections! I booked an  appointment with Dr. Vicki, Nu-Reflection's dermatologist almost immediately to see what can be done!

Dr. Vicki has probably got to be THE most charming and friendliest dermatologist I've ever met!
I felt I could trust her and not only that, I could express myself better to her since she was so friendly. I had difficulties facing and looking anyone in the eyes while talking for the past 5 weeks cos of all the breakouts that I felt so inferior.

So back to the consultation, Dr. Vicki asked me questions and took a look at my skin condition. And so it was concluded..... I was suffering from adult acne which could be linked to hormonal imbalances.

I wanted to try to avoid taking any sort of oral medication if possible so Dr. Vicki told me to try using their ACT Gel and observe over the next few weeks for any improvements.

The Nu-Reflections ACT Gel is a special medical formulation for effective treatment of inflamed and non-inflamed acne including open and closed comedones (white and black heads).

It is suitable for normal and younger skin types and it is best used in conjunction with other Nu-Reflection products.

The ACT Gel's main ingredient would be Retinoid which helps to unclog pores, allowing other medicated creams and gels to work better. They also reduce acne outbreaks by preventing dead cells from clogging pores. By clearing acne and reducing outbreaks, they may also reduce the formation of acne scars.

The ACT Gel retails at SGD$55 per tub consisting of 30gm of product which I think is pretty affordable considering that I only need to apply a very small amount of the gel on areas that are affected.

As it is in a gel form, the finish is quite matt with minimal shine. It can be a little sticky to the touch after it gets absorbed so I usually use it in the night when I do not need to put on makeup.

If you'd like to apply in the day when you need to put on makeup, you could apply a moisturiser on top of the ACT Gel - but of course it'd be best to use a moisturiser recommended b Dr. Vicki to see a better result.

I experienced some flaking of skin near my lip area most probably because I applied it too close to my lips. but if you experience any redness or flakiness to your skin after using the ACT Gel, you can reduce the application and use it every alternate days.
