Brunch AND Dinner @ Whisk and Paddle

I am probably one of zè worst blogger ever...

This post don't even seem proper to me but I felt I needed to at least let you guys know I'm still alive...

So today, here I am.. A VERY VERY backdated  and "not-very-professional" food review about WHISK AND PADDLE located at Tebing Lane!

This was one of the many days when Lè Bestie and I were still 2 hobos who were unemployed.
We decided to keep each other company for a whole full day.

And since we both of us were pretty much lazy people who loves chilling out, what could be better than have a lazy brunch and dinner at the same place?

So yep, that kinda concluded our day. Brunch AND dinner at Whisk and Paddle be it!
And since it was a weekday afternoon about 4pm, there was literally no other soul except us.

Tebing Lane has got tons of stuff to do other than eateries like Whisk and Paddle and the famous Uncle Leong Seafood.

There's a billiard center in which Le Bestie and I ended up at in between brunch and dinner as well as prawning area. Believe or not, I've never prawned once in my life.

It was a super hot and humid day as usual so we decided we should just order a ice cold smoothie instead of usual coffee that we love drinking btw.

Nothing special about this Passion fruit kiwi smoothie really. Can't deny it helped cool us down.

Because a selfie is always needed in between while deciding on what to eat =D

And finally we decided on a bowl of Clam Chowder (cream based chowder cooked with fresh clams, served with garlic breadstick) for a starter and a Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict (poached eggs with asparagus and hollandaise sauce on waffles).

The Clam Chowder was very "clam-y" in taste, if you get what I mean. It definitely doesn't taste as cream based as a lot of other clam chowders.

Do I like it or not? Well I'm kinda neutral about this dish. If you're not a seafood person, I'd suggest don't even try, it tastes almost like the ocean, almost.

Well oh well, if you know me, I AM YOUR BREAKFAST FOOD GIRL. I can eat breakfast food all day everyday. I just love places with all day breakfast. The Eggs Benedict on waffles at W&P surprised me to be honest. I wasn't expecting much but the waffles came nice and crispy on the outside and warm and fluffy on the inside with eggs poached perfectly. Not a big fan of hollandaise  sauce so I won't comment much.

The portion is probably just nice for both Le Bestie and me so unless you're a big eater, order 1 for 2 to share and you won't regret it!

After having some fun time getting trashed by Le Bestie at all the billiard games we had at the billiard centre *as usual*, we headed back to W&P for dinner!

We ordered Nachos (Tortilla corn chips with melted cheese, tomato salsa and cheese dip) for some finger food while we chit chatted and a Macaroni & Cheese (Macaroni, honey baked ham and onion cooked in pink sauce and mozzarella cheese) for sharing!

The Nachos were just alright, acceptable but not the best I've tried. The melted cheese was not melted at all, instead it had hardened up by the time it reached us making some parts of the nachos super chewy. The salsa however was not bad in my opinion, but we had to ask for an additional saucer of it cos it was SO SMALL.

Then came the Mac & Cheese. Oh was I so disappointed.
I had great expectations for it just because I am such a mac & cheese lover. But all I had was close to tasteless sauce that was so watery. I mean this is all I had to explain if this dish was a pass or fail right? It's all about the sauce!

Oh well, but at least I had an awesome time with my closest friend at a pretty good location with great ambience.
